Pi-hole
Pi-hole is an advertisement and Internet tracker blocking application, that protects end-user devices from unwanted content. The software is opensource developed by volunteers - more info.
I have recently set up pi-hole on Amazon Web Services (AWS). I created a cloudformation template that creates an ec2 instance with an appropriate security group and run pi-hole in a docker container with an attached elastic ip address.
Outline VPN
Outline VPN is a free and open-source tool created by Jigsaw that deploys Shadowsocks servers on cloud service providers.
